Ingredients

    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    2 eggs
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
    1 c. canned pumpkin puree
    1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chocolate chips, any variety

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Stir dry ingredients in medium bowl; set aside. In large bowl, beat eggs and sugar till smooth. On low speed, mix applesauce, pumpkin and vanilla till blended. Add in flour mix, then chips. Drop 1/4 cup of dough blobs onto baking sheets, spacing them 2 1/2 in. apart and smoothing them (they don't spread or flatten much while baking). Bake one sheet at a time until tops are firm and a toothpick comes out dry, about 16 mins.
