Ingredients

4 large sweet potatoes, peeled, if desired, and cut into large chunks
1.75 lb boneless pot roast (original calls for 3-3.5 lb for 6 servings)
1 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp packed brown sugar
1 tsp ground ginger (optional)
3 tbsp water
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
Directions
in slow cooker add potatoes then the roast. Combine the Onion Soup Mix, 1 1/2 cups water, soy sauce, brown sugar and ginger. Pour over the roast.
Cook, covered, on low 8 to 10 hours, or until the roast is tender.
Remove the roast and potatoes to serving platter; turn cooker to HIGH. Blend 3 tablespoons water with flour and stir into juices in the crock pot. Cook covered 15 minutes (optimistic) or until thickened.
Serving Size: makes 4 - 5 servings
