Ingredients

1 tbsp olive oil
3 medium onions, chopped
2 cups celery, chopped
2 cups carrots, diced
1 can (5.5 oz/156ml) Hunts Tomato Paste
1 carton (900ml) Campbell's Chicken Broth
1 can (540ml) Aylmer Accents Cracked Black Pepper & Roasted Garlic Petite Cut Stewed Tomoatoes
1 jar ( 650ml) Classico Italian Sausage, Peppers & Onions Pasta Sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tsp dried thyme
1 bay leaf
Tips
You may need to add a bit more liquid to leftovers because it gets thicker after a bit.
Directions
Heat oil over medium heat.
Saute onions, celery and carrots for about 10 minutes until onions are soft.
Add tomato paste, chicken broth, stewed tomatoes, pasta sauce and seasonings.
Bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, until carrots soften a bit.
Add pasta and continue to cook for about 5 minutes - or however long the package directions say to cook for.
Remove bay leaf and enjoy
