Ingredients

    4 oranges, peeled and halved
1 small beet, peeled and quartered
1 large carrot, peeled and cut into 2-3" pieces
    1/2" slice of ginger
    1 tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 cup very cold water
    1 1/2 cups ice cubes

Optional: 1 tbsp. honey or stevia

Tips

The vitamix warms the juice when it blends for so long, so plan to chill your juice before drinking. But don't let it sit for long -- the orange pith can make the juice quite bitter after several hours. If it DOES get bitter, mix it with diet ginger ale and have yourself a mocktail!

Directions

Place all of the ingredients into the Vita-Mix in the order listed. Select Variable 1 on the blender, then turn on. Quickly raise the speed to Variable 10, then to high. Blend for 3 minutes or until smooth and slightly frothy.
