Introduction

I'm a huge fan of any soup with beans. This comes from a recipe that I modified when I didn't have any ham to add to it. I'm a huge fan of any soup with beans. This comes from a recipe that I modified when I didn't have any ham to add to it.

Ingredients

    2 tbsp onion chopped
    3 tbsp green pepper chopped
    1 tsp minced garlic
    1 tbsp jalapeno pepper chopped
    1 tbsp oil
1 can (15.5 oz) great northern beans
1 can (15.5 oz) pinto beans
1 can (11.5 oz) condensed bean with bacon soup
    2 cups water
    1 tbsp bacon bits

Tips

I like to add a tbsp of hot picante to my pot of soup. It makes it just a bit spicier.

Directions

heat oil in soup pot, add onion, green pepper, garlic and jalapeno and sauté lightly. Once they are soft, add water. Rinse the 2 cans of beans and add them. Add the condensed soup and stir well. Add the bacon bits and let simmer for about 5 minutes. Season to taste.
Delicious!!
