Ingredients

1/2 cup almond butter
2 fresh bananas, mashed
1 1/4 cups almonds
1 1/4 cups walnuts
1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
1/4 cup flax seeds
2 Tbsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp honey
1/4 cup chopped dried pineapple
1/4 cup dried cranberries
Tips
This recipe is very versatile. Mix and match different kinds of nuts, seeds and dried fruits. Try substituting apple or pear puree in place of banana and add some ground cinnamon and nutmeg to taste.
Once bars are cooled, try spreading on a layer of melted dark chocolate and refrigerate before cutting.
Directions
Combine all dry ingredients and toast in a 350 oven, about 10 min. Let cool about 10 min. and pulse in a food processor until slightly chunky, not too fine. Add remaining ingredients and blend well. Press mix evenly into an oiled cake pan and at 350, about 20 min or until no longer soft in the middle.
Cool on a rack completely before cutting and store in airtight container.
