Introduction

I wanted to eat more fish, but was finding it bland. My husband made this sauce, and I love it. I wanted to eat more fish, but was finding it bland. My husband made this sauce, and I love it.

Ingredients

    4 tbs soy sauce
    4 tbs lemon juice
    wasabi powder to taste, start with 1 tsp
    1 garlic clove, crushed
    1 thick slice fresh ginger, crushed
    1 tbs sesame oil
    10 oz fresh tuna steak
    salt
    pepper
    cayenne

Directions

Sprinkle the tuna with salt , pepper, and cayenne let sit. Mix soy sauce and lemon juice, stir in wasabi to taste.
Sear the steak on each side in a hot skillet that has the garlic, ginger, and oil heated between 1 - 3 minutes, depending on how raw you like the tuna. Turn the heat down to medium and pour the soy sauce mix into pan. Reduce the liquid to a syrupy consistnecy.
Pour sauce over tuna and rice.

    I prefer just putting a blackened seasoning on the tuna an searing it. Then dip it in a mixture of low sodium soy & wasabi. - 9/20/08
