Ingredients
-
500g cherries (fresh or a jar in natural juice)
4 eggs
100g plain flour
100g brown or white sugar
1 cup non fat milk
40g butter (unsalted)
0.5 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
Tips
You can vary the recipe with different fruits.
Directions
Wash the cherries or use a jar in natural juice.
Turn on your oven to 6/7 (180/200C degre).
In an oven dish, add the butter and put it in the oven so it melts for use afterwards.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs like an omelette, add the salt and sugar. Mix well (you can use a handmixer). Add the vanilla extract, and the flour until you have a thick and smooth result.
Remove the oven dish from the oven and add the butter to the mix, while mixing it, also add the milk. You can then add the cherries.
With the butter left over in the oven dish, use a kitchen towel to wip it all over the dish.
Put in the oven for 40mns or until the top is golden. Once cooked and ready, remove from the oven and let cool down. Once cold, keep refrigerated. It is nicer a few hours later or next day when it's very cold.
Bon appetit!
