    1lb dry black eye peas
    4 slices bacon
    1/4 C Sugar

Directions

Cover peas and bring to a boil. Drain water and cover with hot water. Add salt and bacon. Boil until tender adding water as needed. Add sugar and cook for another 30 mins.
