Ingredients

1/4 C Shorening
2 # Beef, sliced or diced
1/4 C Flour
1 C Onions, diced
3 Cloves Garlic (TBS dried)
1 TBS Paprika
2 Bay Leaves
1/2 tsp Thyme, dried
1/2 TBS Salt, or to taste
1# 12 oz. Canned Tomatoes
1 pkg Noodles (12 oz)
Directions
Start melting shortening in large skillet.
Slice and then cut into 1" pieces, or Dice 1# of beef, any cut will do.
Put flour into a bag, add meat pieces and shake to coat. Reserve remaining flour for thickening.
When shortening is hot, add meat pieces, shaking off excess flour. Turning occassionaly to brown.
While meat is browning, dice onion. Add to skillet when meat is mostly browned, also add garlic to skillet.
When onions are softened, add paprika, thyme, salt, bay leaves and the remaining flour. Stir to coat well.
Add, the canned tomatoes, stir in, lower heat to simmer.
Simmer for about 1 1/2 hours. You can turn it down and just let it simmer till ready to eat.
Just before serving, stir in Sour Cream. Do not let it come back to boil after adding.
Serve over cooked noodles.
