Introduction

Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    In Lg. bowl sift and set aside:
    2 c. sifted flour, 1 tsp. b.soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp. baking powder

    Cream together in another Large bowl:
    1 c. shortening, 3/4 cup gran. sugar, 3/4 c. br. sugar. Beat till fluffy. Add 3 eggs (one at a time), 1 tsp. vanilla.
    Slowly add in flour mixture-Mix well.
    Add to this:
    2.5 rolled oats, 1/4 c. raisens, 1/4 c. coconut, 1/4 c. choc. chips, and 1 c. chopped walnuts.
    Mix well together. Mix will be some what dry and chunky.
    Drop by Tbs. (or chosen size) onto greased cookie sheet. Press flat with glass bottom or with metal spatula.
    Bake at 350* for 15-18 minutes. ..Depends on oven temp.
    Cookies go good with ice cream or alone w/ coffee or milk.

Tips

This recipe has been passed down by my Grandma. My husband loves rasins and coconut, so we added this along with the extra egg. Our family will eat these for afternoon snack. Esp. after a hike, swim at the pool or snowball fight.


Directions

Drop on Greased cookie sheet, bake at 350* for 15 to 18 minutes. (Air baked sheets take longer -depends on oven temps.)
