Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1.5 lbs pinto beans rinsed and any rocks and bad beans picked out ( 1 and a half bags)
    1 can rotel with lime and cilantro
    1 large onion
    Garlic, prepared chopped garlic - 3 tbsp
    chili powder, 2 tsp
    cumin, 2 tsp
    Garlic powder & Onion powder- big shake of each approx 1 tsp each
    Better Than Bouillon - ham base- 3 tbsp
    Crushed Red Pepper Flakes, 1 tsp
    Bacon Bits 'Hormel Real Bacon', 10 tbsp
    or a 1/2 bag
    6 cups of water or enough to cover beans about 1 inch
    Combine all above ingredients in Slow Cooker and set to 8 hours on low.

Tips

If you want less salt cut the salt out from the salt and the bouillon and the bacon, it won't taste the same but it will be less salt.
