Introduction
This is a milled mixed grain mixture I concocted in my quest for more whole grain breakfast cereal options. I can make this a 5 grain, 12 grain, 15 grain, or however many grains I have on hand! The added bonus is that it makes great whole grain muffins too :)This is a milled mixed grain mixture I concocted in my quest for more whole grain breakfast cereal options. Barley, 40 grams
Brown Rice, long grain, 30 grams
Alber’s Yellow Corn Meal, 20 grams
Flax Seed Meal (ground flax), 10 grams
100% Natural Wheat Germ, 15 grams
Pumpkin Seeds, 5 grams

Tips
Use any grains you like. The barley and rice are really the only grains in this particular mixture that need to be ground.
Directions
Just grind the whole grains, one at a time, in a coffee or grain mill. Blend everything together in a bowl and transfer to an air-tight container to be stored in a cool, dark place.
To cook, scoop 1/3 cup from the container into a sauce pan. Add 1 cup cold water (cold so it doesn't all stick together like glue), bring to a boil, and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
