    1.5 lbs ground beef
    I can diced tomatoes (with liquid)
    1 small can tomato sauce
    1 cup raw onion
    3 cloves garlic (chopped)
    2 cups fresh, chopped cabbage
    1or 2 zucchini (chopped)


You may add parsley flakes, basil, oregano at the beginning to taste or sprinkle liberally with Parmesan or Romano cheese before serving.


Brown beef and drain. Add chopped onion and garlic. Season with salt and pepper, add tomatoes, tomato sauce, cover and simmer at medium low for 5 minutes, add chopped cabbage,cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Add green pepper and zucchini, cover and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.

Serving Size: makes 6 1-cup servings
