Introduction
Here's a very mild flavored turkey chili recipe I came up with Here's a very mild flavored turkey chili recipe I came up withNumber of Servings: 4
Ingredients
-
Cumin seed, 1 tbsp
Garlic powder, .5 tbsp
Onion powder, .5 tbsp
Chili powder, .25 tsp
Thyme, ground, .25 tsp
Nutmeg, ground, .25 tsp
Pepper, black, .125 tsp
Turkey, ground, extra lean 99% fat free, 16 oz
Extra Light Olive Oil, 2 tbsp
Crushed Tomatoes, 100 grams
Salt, .25 tsp
Directions
Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet over med-high heat.
Mix up all of the dry ingredients, and combine that thoroughly with the turkey, then brown up that turkey like you'd brown hamburger meat for tacos.
When the turkey's nice and done, add the tomatoes and bring it all to a simmer. Let it do its thing for a whilt until it reduces down to a nice texture (you know, like.. chili.. or sloppy joes) and then eat up. :) Easy stuff.
I just had it folded in some toasted, whole wheat tortillas with a side of couscous and sweet corn.
Oh yeah, and it makes 4 servings, about 1 cup each. :)
Enjoy!
