Everytime I make these, they are everyone's favourite new treat! No one will be disappointed! I have requests for these all the time.
Both shells and filling can be made ahead and assembled when needed. The shells can be frozen for up to a month, then thawed at room temperature an hour before filling. The filling can be made up to two days before and refrigerated. Heat the filling gently, and serve immediately in the shells.
Delicious chicken wings, can be served with almost anything, a healthy salad or eaten on their own. The recipie can be alternated by adding orange juice to the marinade or sprinkling sesame seeds on the chicken. Chicken thighs are higher in iron than breasts, and without the skin they're still low in fat. The flavour in these pies is delicious, with the carmelized onions blending into a rich sauce. If you have the time, make your own pie shells - it's so much better than store-bought.Submitted by JO_JO_BA
Being a guy, I don't know what a picatta is but I do know how to make chicken that taste good. I'm also lazy, so I don't measure anything, watch it boil, or do anything other than cook it. Here's my recipe that involves chicken and lemon, with the cooking directions done in a way that even guys can cook it.
This is the one complete meal my teenage son can fix, independently. In fact, my entire family loves to make this meal. Everyone washes hands, then proceeds to add the ingredients that he or she likes, and omit the ingredients not desired. I have the vegetables washed and chopped, and each family member makes their own creations. Some even add a dash of paprika for color. After all the aluminum foil envelopes are created, we simply write the chef's name (using a Sanford Sharpie marker) on the outside of his or her masterpiece.Submitted by REINOVPH
This sauce is super easy to make & is great poured over grilled, pan fried, baked or breaded chicken! I guess it's similar to the restaurant sauce from what I have been told (though I have never had it) Best served with cubed chicken & put over rice. May work nicely with pork or seafood as well! How I learned to make it from friends of family! Yes, the fats are alarming and probably from the chicken and cannot be helped. You can probably make a healthier version of this with shrimp.
Note: I omitted the usual Fish Sauce because it is not listed and it is so salty that I usually try to omit it or use very little. However, if you aren't watching your sodium as closely as I am go right ahead! It really does add an authentic thai flavor.

Second note: BASIL IS FRESH BASIL. Not herbal.
