Introduction

A pie that is sweet and tangy! A pie that is sweet and tangy!
Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    Filling:
    6 cups peeled thin sliced apples
    1/2 cup dried cranberries
    1/3 cups maple syrup
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    1-1/2 tsp vanilla flavor extract
    1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

    Pie:
    2 low fat graham cracker shells
    1 cup rolled oats
    3/4 cup brown sugar
    1/3 cup flour
    1 tsp cinnamon
    2-1/2 tsp light butter spread

Directions

Preheat oven to 375*F.
In large bowl: combine apples, cranberries, maple syrup, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg.
Spread evenly in pie shell.
Combine in another bowl: oats, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon together.
Add butter (softened) and stir, then spread evenly across pie
Bake 45 minutes.
Remove and let set for 30 minutes.

    The directions were unclear. And The 2 tsp of butter wasn't enough.. The top wasnt even wet. The bottom tasted good.. but something about uncooked oatmeal.. kinda ruined it. - 4/15/08

    Since the recipe calls for 2 graham cracker shells, I assume the recipe is split to make 2 pies. - 9/13/07
