Introduction

Another green smoothie, made primarily with vegetables, this time, although I did add 1/2 a frozen banana that I needed to get out of the freezer. Another green smoothie, made primarily with vegetables, this time, although I did add 1/2 a frozen banana that I needed to get out of the freezer.

Ingredients

    almond milk 1 cup
    banana 1/2 medium
    kale 1 cup
    wide leaf parsley 3 Tbsp
    carrot 1/2 medium carrot
    peanut butter 1 Tbsp
    squash seeds 1 Tbsp

Tips

I am using smoothies as meal replacements these days to ensure I meet my fruit and vegetable needs. Sometimes I make the smoothies from vegetables and liquid only (like this one *almost is) so that I can just eat the fruit when I crave something sweet.

Directions

Put scrubbed vegetables into a blender with almond milk, peanut butter, and any type of seeds you happen to have. Blend until smooth (or smooth-ish, mine are always chunky) and drink.
