Ingredients
-
16 ozs. very lean ground turkey (99%) such as Jennie-O
1/4 cup Walden Farms basil tomato sauce
Your favorite Italian spices -- I used garlic powder, oregano, basil, an italian spice mix, and some salt and pepper
Tips
IMPORTANT: The meatloaf will look 'pink' because the ground turkey is basically a white color (cooked) and the WF sauce makes it look pink or pinkish-red. This is OK!
Directions
Preheat oven to 375. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, EXCEPT reserve 2 TBLs of the Walden Farms basil tomato sauce. Spray a meatloaf pan with PAM, then shape the mixture into a loaf and place in pan. With a finger, make an indentation along the top of the meatloaf and carefully pour the reserved 2 TBLs WF sauce into the indentation.
Bake 1 hour or so, until the meat is cooked and registers at least 160 on a meat thermometer.
Serving Size: Makes 5, 3 oz (cooked) servings or 2-1/2 6 oz servings
Number of Servings: 5
