Ingredients

    4 cups blackberries
    1/4 tsp table salt
    2 T cornstarch
    1/4 c sugar
    2/3 c almond flour/meal
    1 tsp stevia
    1/4 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/8 tsp cardamom
    1/2 c buttermilk

Tips

may use regular flour instead
may make in a 2 quart baking dish instead (yields: 4 biscuits/servings)


Directions

mix first 4 ingredients together. divide evenly into muffin tins. bake at 400 degrees for 5 minutes. While the fruit is cooking, mix rest of ingredients together into a sticky dough.
Remove fruit from oven, drop dough onto fruit. Bake until topping/biscuit is golden and fruit is bubbling, about 25 minutes. Allow cobbler to sit for 5 minutes for fruit to firm up before serving. Yields: approximately 16-18 muffin sized cobblers
