Introduction
Most granola recipes have some oil, but no oil is necessary, and granola is really very simple to make. This is my basic granola recipe, and I add whatever nuts, seeds and dried fruit I have n hand at the time. Ingredients

2 c oatmeal (old fashioned, not quick cooking)
1/2 c. Honey (local is best)
Optional ingredients (add any, all or none of these):
Salt
Cinnamon
Nuts (any kind)
Nut butter (any kind)
Pumpkin seeds
Sesame seeds
Flax seeds, ground
Raisins
Currants
Figs

My favorite combination of optional ingredients is 1t. Salt, 2 t. Cinnamon, 4 T. ground flax seeds, 1/2 c. Pumpkin seeds, 1/2 c. Sesame seeds, 1/2 c. Chopped pecans, 1/2 c. Raisins.
My husband's favorite combination of optional ingredients is 1 c. Peanuts and 1/2 c. Peanut butter.
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
2. Mix oatmeal and honey
3. Add any or all of the optional ingredients and mix well.
4. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
5. Spread mixture onto parchment paper.
6. Bake 30 minutes.
Serving Size: 4-8 servings
