Ingredients

    Ingredients:

    Lentils, 1 cup
    Brown rice (1 cup cooked), 1 serving
    LIPTON, RECIPE SECRETS ONION, Mix, Dry, 1 pk
    kale, raw, 1 bunch
    Carrots, raw, 1 cup, chopped or sliced
    Annie's Organic All Stars, 1 can
    Water, tap, 6 cup (8 fl oz)

Tips

if you don't have leftover brown rice in your fridge, add dry rice with the lentils instead and stetch that part of the covered cooking to 45 minutes.


Directions

water, onion soup mix, sliced carrotts, and the chopped stems of the kale into the pot. Boil. When tender, add dry lentils and reduce heat, simmer covered 35 minutes stirring occassionally. Add cooked brown rice, more water if needed. simmer covered 10 minutes. add chopped green parts of kale, remove from heat, stir and serve. the next day, the leftovers get a little thicker and blander, so I added a can of Annies all stars to it and it freshened it right up.
