Introduction

My mom's recipe. The ultimate in stick-to-your-ribs comfort food and healthy dose of protein. Goes great with mashed potatoes (or red potatoes for a healthier meal)! My mom's recipe. Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    2 lbs lean ground beef
    1 - 8 oz can tomato sauce
    1 packet onion soup mix
    1 egg
    2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
    1/3 cup oats
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Combine all ingredients and mix well with hands. Mold into a loaf pan or casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Makes 12 inch-thick slices.

For a smaller serving, slice it down the middle as well - makes 24 slices, each with half the calorie/fat/carb/protein content listed.

Enjoy with potatoes!
