A healthy spin on waffles! A healthy spin on waffles!
Number of Servings: 9

Ingredients

    1 3/4 c whole wheat flour
    1/4 cup ground flax seed
    2T Sugar
    1 1/2 t baking powder
    1/2 t cinnamon
    1 1/2 C skim milk with 1.5 T White Vinegar mixed in
    3T melted butter
    2 eggs
    1 large banana, mashed

Tips

I enjoy these waffles with a serving of PB2 and a tablespoon of pure maple syrup.


Directions

Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
In a smaller bowl, mix together milk, butter, eggs, and banana.
Make a well in the dry ingredients and add wet ingredients, stirring until just mixed through.
Spray non stick waffle iron with spray and pour a laddle full into each waffle compartment. Cook until golden and starting to crisp.


Serving Size: Makes about 9 large waffles (About 4inx4in)
