Introduction

Ingredients

    1 envelope plain gelatin
    1/2 cup pumpkin
    1 egg yolk
    1 cup water
    3 tablespoons sugar or brown sugar Splenda
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon cloves
    1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Tips

If you don't stir continuously or heat too quickly, the egg yolk will cook in little bits which looks odd but tastes fine. If that happens, I use the blender to smooth everything out before cooling.


Directions

Melt an envelope of gelatin in hot water (not boiling) in a pot on the stove. Stir until dissolved. Add spices, sweetener, pumpkin and egg yolk. Increase heat to medium. Stir until mixture thickens.
