Introduction

Ingredients

    1 lb Bulk Pork Sausage
    64 Oz. Chicken Broth (low sodium)
    1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
    8oz dried lentils
    1 medium onion chopped
    1 stalk celery chopped
    1 lg. carrot chopped
    2 cloves garlic minced
    1 TBS Garlic Powder
    1 TBS Fresh Parsley
    1/2 tsp dried Oregano
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    1/4 tsp dried basil
    1 pinch dried rosemary
    salt to taste
    1 1/2 cups diced cabbage

Tips

To add some spice, I use the hot bulk pork sausage and add Siracha Chili Garlic paste.


Directions

Brown sausage. Add all remaining ingredients except cabbage & bring to boil. Turn down heat to low and simmer for 1 hour or until lentils are soft. With 20 minutes left in cooking time, add cabbage.

Serving Size: Makes 8 bowls of soup
