Ingredients

    6 oz whole wheat penne (dry)
    1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    1 cup Prego Heart Smart Roasted Red Pepper sauce
    34 slices Hormel turkey pepperoni (2 servings)
    2 tbsp reduced fat parmesan cheese
    2 tbsp dry bread crumbs (seasoned optional)
    2 tbsp basil
    1/2 tbsp oregano
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp black pepper
    1 tsp NoSalt salt substitute
    Olive oil cooking spray

Tips

Serve with a field green salad for an easy dinner.


Directions

Boil pasta until al dente (about 6-7 minutes). While pasta is cooking, combine basil, oregano, garlic, pepper, and salt with 1 tbsp parmesan cheese. Spray a casserole dish with cooking spray and mix together the seasoning mix, cooked pasta, sauce, pepperoni, and 1/2 cup mozzarella. Top with bread crumbs, 1 tbsp parmesan, and 1/2 cup mozzarella. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 17-18 minutes. Uncover and let cook another 2 minutes or until mozzarella is melted.
