    1 Tbsp olive oil
    1 small onion, finely chopped
    3 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 (5.5oz can) tomato paste
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp pepper
    1/4 cup vodka
    4 cups penne pasta
    1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese


Heat oil in saucepan over medium heat. Stir in onion and garlic and "sizzle" it until onion is translucent (don't let garlic get brown). Stir in half and half, tomato paste, salt, pepper, and vodka. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, cooke penne according to package. Stir 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese into tomato sauce mixture. Stir into cooked penne and mix well.

Top with remaining parmesan and serve immediately.

    Do you realize that you don't have half-n-half listed in the ingredients here? Only in the nutrition facts. For anyone who is wondering it's 1/4 cup. - 4/18/12

    I liked this recipe.. I added peas but boyf was not happy with that decision.. haha. .I didn't know how much half and half to use so I guessed 1/2 a cup. - 4/6/10
