Ingredients
-
1 lb. linguini
2 cans of chopped or minced clams with clam juice
6 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon of garlic
1 tablespoon of parsley
extra light olive oil
Directions
1. Start to cook the linguini as on the directions for al dente.
2. Drain the clams, save the juice on the side for later.
3. In a pan, heat the olive oil and brown the garlic.
4. Once the garlic starts to pop a little add the clams (without the clam juice).
5. After browning the garlic and clams together for about 2 to 3 minutes, add the clam juice, the parsley and the garlic powder. Allow to simmer for 4 to 5 minutes while finishing up the linguini.
6. Drain, rinse, and serve the linguini. Remove the clam sauce from heat and pour over the linguini.
Makes approximately 6 1-cup servings.
Sometimes I add more garlic and garlic powder for extra garlic flavor.
