Ingredients

    TOPPING:
    3/4 cup Malt O Meal Hearty Traditions Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
    1/2 cup, packed Brown Sugar
    1/2 tsp Cinnamon, ground
    1/4 tsp Nutmeg, ground
    2 tbsp Butter, unsalted

    FILLING:
    3 cups Apples, fresh sliced
    2 cups, whole fresh Cranberries
    2/3 cup, packed Brown Sugar
    2 and 1/2 Tbls. Corn Starch


Tips

If you want to you can pour this into a pie shell and make it into a pie, top with whip cream or ice cream or it is good by itself. Nutritional info determined by recipe the way it is written and without ala mode.


Directions

Preheat oven to 350°.
To prepare topping combine first 4 ingredients in a medium bowl; cut in butter with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal.
To prepare filling, combine apples, cranberries, 2/3 cup brown sugar, and cornstarch in a large bowl; toss well to combine. Spoon mixture into lightly greased pie pan or small cake pan; sprinkle streusel over apple mixture. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until bubbly and streusel is browned. Cool at least 1 hour.
