Introduction
Uses prepackaged food to create a fast burrito or taco filling. Note: Morning Star Farms Grillers Crumbles is NOT vegan, as it lists egg white and nonfat milk as ingredients. 1/2 pkg. Old El Paso 25% Less Sodium Taco Seasoning Mix
1 pkg. Morning Star Griller Crumbles
1 cup water, divided into 1/3 and 2/3 cups
Directions
In regular skillet, place entire frozen package of Morning Star Griller Crumbles. And 1/3 cup of water to pan and cover with lid. Cook over medium-high heat for 4 minutes. Uncover and reduce heat to medium.
Add the remaining 2/3 cup of water to skillet and stir in 1/2 package of the Old El Paso 25% Les Sodium Taco Seasoning Mix. Stir the mix into the crumbles and scrape up browned bits with a metal spatula. Continue cooking on medium heat for 4 minutes. Cook until desired consistency is achieved.
Mixture will be hot; allow to cool slightly before spooning into soft burrito or hard taco shells. Use any vegan or vegetarian toppings you prefer--for example, cheese, salsa and sour cream for burritos, with the addition of lettuce for tacos.
Serving Size: Makes four 1/2 cup servings for soft burritos. Hard shell tacos will make approx. 6 tacos.
