Introduction

Ingredients

    5 cups rolled oats
    1/2 cup raw wheat germ
    1/2 cup honey
    1/4 cup unsalted, sweet cream butter
    1 tbsp cinnamon
    1 tbsp vanilla
    1/2 cup cold water


Directions

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, and wheat germ. Combine honey, margarine, and cinnamon, and add to dry ingredients stirring until well mixed. Mix the vanilla and water, and add to the oat mixture slowly, mixing until crumbly. Pour mixture into a 15 by 8-inch baking sheet. Bake for 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Turn oven off, leave the oven door ajar, and allow the granola to cool in the oven.

This makes about sixteen 1/2 cup servings. It's got roughly 160 calories per serving with 4 grams of fat.

    Easy & quick to make...I got all the ingredients out and then it was a breeze to get it made to put in the oven. This is great for my hubby that is diabetic for a snack with some dried fruits n nuts. - 1/17/17
