Ingredients

    45 grams Raisins
    45 grams Wheat germ, crude
    45 grams Walnuts
    30 grams Brown Sugar
2 serving Apple & Cinnamon Oatmeal (Quaker Instant)
12 medium (2-3/4" dia) (approx 3 Apples, fresh with skin
    2.0 tbsp Butter, salted

Tips

I used spartan apples. Cooking time depends on the age of the apple, type of apple, suggest checking at 30 minutes to see if knife goes cleanly through the apple.

Directions

Preheat oven 350 degrees
1.Wash and core apples. Used paring knife and melon baller. (cores and seeds went outside for the birds)
2. Mix 2 packages of instant oatmeal with 3 tbsp of wheat germ, nut of choice (walnuts) and raisins, 2 tbsp brown sugar. in a bowl (If I had protein powder it would have been a great option)
3. 2 tbsp of cold butter and cut it into 12 pats
4. Fill each apple cavity with stuffing and put a butter pat on top
5. Place in a large baking dish and add water to 1/4 way up the apples
6. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 miuntes, until tender
