Introduction

My grandfather was a chef that trained in France. He came up with this recipe and we loved it as kids; now my own children beg me to make it weekly, we call it Q and D. I hope you enjoy this I promise it's great. The oregano sounds funny in this but I promise it is delicious! You can also make this with wild rice. My grandfather was a chef that trained in France. Ingredients

    3 cups healthy request cream of mushroom soup
    12 ounces dry white wine
    1 cup sliced mushrooms (use your favorite, mine are baby portobellos)
    3 chicken breasts (no skin),l cut into 1 inch pieces
    1 can of artichoke hearts quartered
    1 cup water
    6 servings of brown rice
    4 tbls. oregano
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 tbsp olive oil

Directions

In a large deep skillet or pot brown the chicken using the olive oil . After the chicken has browned deglaze the pan with the white wine and scrape all the goodies from the bottom of the pan. Next add the remainder of the ingredients EXCEPT the mushrooms and the cooked brown rice. Cover and simmer on low heat for around 30 minutes, then add the mushrooms for the last 15 minutes. Serve over the brown rice.
