Introduction

Sauce is a great marinade for chicken and shrimp! Also is a good sauce to use when finishing a stir fry - I use corn starch to thicken it. Sauce is a great marinade for chicken and shrimp! Also is a good sauce to use when finishing a stir fry - I use corn starch to thicken it.

Ingredients

    1 cup Granulated Sugar
    1 cup Soy Sauce
1 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    1 fl oz Lemon Juice
    1 tsp Ginger, ground
    3 tsp Onion powder
    0.3 tbsp Thai Chili Sauce

Tips

I use Huy Fong's Chili Garlic sauce for the extra heat...use as much or as little as you want according to your tastes. Lemon works very well for the citrus...orange would also.

If you're using this as a marinade, allow 30 - 60 minutes to get a nice full flavor.

Refrigerate unused sauce .

Directions

Combine all the ingredients in a sauce pan. Bring the sauce to a gentle boil, while stirring. Remove from heat and cool.
