Ingredients

    Ground beef, extra lean, 16 oz
    Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped fine
    Garlic, 2 clove, chopped fine
    Bread crumbs, dry, grated, plain, .5 cup
    Egg, fresh, 1 large
    Red Wine, 2 fl oz
    Salt, 1 tsp
    Pepper, black, 1 tsp (remove)
    Oregano, ground, 2 tsp (remove)
    Basil, .5 tbsp (remove)
    Olive oil 1 tbsp
    Butter 1 tbsp

Directions

Mix meat, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Add breadcrumbs, wine, and egg and knead the mixture. Shape into 30 balls of equal size (about an inch). Dust with flour, and satue in equal amounts of olive oil and butter. Brown on all sides. When the meatballs are cooked through, drain excess fat, then place in a covered casserol and keep warm until ready to serve.
