Introduction

This recipe technically makes a single serving, but it's a generous one by my standards (about 15 shrimp) It's so quick and easy, but packs some serious spice! My measurements in the kitchen are never really exact and yours don't have to be either. You can adjust to make it as hot (or not) as you like. Ingredients

    Shrimp
    Butter
    Cayenne pepper
    Oregano
    Black Pepper
    Garlic powder
    Chili powder
    Thyme

Directions

If you're using frozen precooked shrimp like me, thaw first (remove shells if applicable). Meanwhile, mix the spices together in a little dish then toss them with the shrimp to coat evenly. Melt the butter in frying pan then just pan sear your spicy shrimp. It's that easy.

Yum!! I used olive oil instead of butter to sear the shrimp....the oil added a nice flavor and those good-for-you fats!! So easy!! - 2/28/11

This was great. I made mine with the steam n fresh green beans. I made the green beans as normal. Then when they were done I took and put them in the pan that I made the shrimp in. I sprinked them with the same seasoning as the shrimp. They had great flavor. It was a good figure friendly meal. - 7/10/08

This is great basic recipe. I doubled recipe, added the juice from 1/2 a lemon and a small can of tomato sauce and then topped the sauce on cooked spaghetti. Enough for d.h. and me. - 5/18/11

This was excellent! My husband and I love it! We had it with steamed broccoli and a baked potato. I think next time we will marinate them a little while in this butter/season mixture. Very very good! - 12/11/10
