Ingredients

    1.5 cup Basmati Rice, Mahatma(1/4 c dry, 3/4 c prep)
    1 serving Raw Yellow Mung dal - 0.5 cup (by MANJUK)
    3 tsp Amul Pure Ghee 14g/1 tbs=1 serv
    0.75 cup Green Giant Frozen Mixed Vegetables
    1 cup frozen brocolli florets
    1 tsp Cumin seed
    3 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap

Tips

This is traditionally eaten with either a yogurt soup (khadhi) or plain yogurt and/or Indian pickle on the side. This meal can be had for a light meal. Helpful for uneasy digestion or just when you need a nice re-set after many days of rich, heavy food.


Directions

Place all ingredients in a rice cooker and cooke till all water is absorbed and results in a porridge-like consistency. Add salt, red cayenne pepper and turmeric (half teaspoon) to taste.
