Introduction

An easy no fat white sauce to serve with pasta, fish or vegetables. An easy no fat white sauce to serve with pasta, fish or vegetables.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 1/2 C Vegetable broth
    3/4 C Evaporated Skim Milk
    1/4 C White Wine
    1/2 C Corn Starch
    salt, pepper, etc.

Directions

Mix the liquid ingredients in a quart size saucepan. Using a whisk and without heating, add the cornstarch to the liquid ingredients. Place the saucepan on the stove and gradually heat the sauce to a slow simmer while stirring until thick. If it is too thick it can be thinned with more broth or water. Season to taste. Makes 6 servings just under 1/2 C each.
I put this over green beans, potatoes & tuna for a wonderful one dish dinner. Mmmm, Yummy!!
