Introduction

Good cake for a meal topped with berries and yogurt. Good cake for a meal topped with berries and yogurt.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1 stick Butter, unsalted
    1 cup Granulated Sugar
    1 cup Applesauce, unsweetened
    1 cup Flour, white
    1 cup Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
    1 tsp Baking Soda
    1 tsp Cinnamon, ground
    .25 tsp Cloves, ground
    .5 cup (not packed) Raisins
    8 tbsp chopped walnuts

Directions

Cream butter or margarine with sugar. Add applesauce and beat well. Stir in flour, baking soda, and spices. Add Raisins and nuts.

Pour batter into an 8" x 8" greased and floured baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until done. Best served warm.

Serving Size: Makes 12 Servings 2" X 2.5" pieces
