    2 eggs
    1/2 cup molasses
    1 1/2 c sugar

    Sift together
    2 1/2 cups flour
    1 t baking soda
    1/2 t salt
    1/2 t cinnamon
    1/2 nutmeg
    1/2 ground cloves
    1/2 ground ginger
    1 c raisens (optional)



Mix all. Spread in a greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 20-25 min. Cut into squares when cool.

  • I was looking for a regular hermit cookie recipe, instead of a bar cookie. I added some extra liquid (spiced tea, in fact) and I had to add walnuts, and made them like regular cookies. I'll try the way suggested (with walnuts) another time. Father's Day today, they have to be right! :) They are! - 6/21/15
