Introduction

These are not particularly low calorie or healthy, but I make them on some occasions, so I need the nutrition information. If you make it right, they are very good and chewy. Ingredients

    3/4 cup butter
    1 cup brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 cup molasses
    2-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. salt
Additional sugar ( about 1/4 cup)

Directions

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar for 2 minutes. On low speed, add egg and molasses. Beat just to mix. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture, beating on low speed just to mix. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls into additional sugar. Roll in sugar and form a ball. ( I use a small pampered chef cookie scoop). Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes. If baking 2 sheets at a time, make sure to switch pans top to bottom and front to back about 8 minutes into baking. Cookies are done when lightly browned and still rounded. Remove pans from oven and leave on pans for about another minute to firm up slightly. Remove from pans and cool directly on the counter top. If done right, they will be chewy instead of crisp. Makes 30 cookies.

Yes, the nutrition is per cookie if you get 30 cookies from the batch which is what I get.
