Ingredients

Sweet italian sausage- Pricerite 7.5 oz (3 links)
Barilla, Lasagna noodles, per 2 pieces (50g), 9 noodles
Hunt's, meat spaghetti sauce, per 1/2 cup, 2 cup
Dragone, Ricotta cheese, park skim (per 1/4 cup), 4 cup (one container)
*Cheese, Kraft Mexican Style Taco Cheese, 1 cup
    Egg, fresh, 1 large

Directions

Cook sausage in microwave from frozen for 6 minutes. Cut lengthwise then lengthwise again getting 4 lengths of sauage, then cut into tiny pieces (resembling ground sausage) Spray crockpot with cooking spray. Cover bottom with sauce and a small amount of water (1/2 cup, maybe), Beat egg then mix into ricotta, Layer noodles, ricotta, sausage, sauce and cheese, then again. Cover with remaining 3 noodles, sauce and remaining shredded cheese. Cover and cook on high for 5-6 hours. Enjoy!

I used sausage b/c that is all I had on hand but you can substitute for ground beef/turkey or leave out the meat altogether and mix in spinach with the ricotta.

    O.K.
I tried this recipe but I think I cooked it for a little too long. My cheese burned and that is all we could taste. I'm going to try it again because I think it would be a good recipe if I set my pot for 10 hours instead of the 6. - 11/7/08
