1 (14.4-ounce) can fat-free chicken broth
1 (14.4-ounce) can corn, drained and rinsed
1 (14.4-ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed

Tips
My mom gave me this recipe. She eats it daily. It is very tasty! I started losing weight after adding it to my regular diet. Sometimes I add hot sauce to spice it up a bit! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan, whisking to integrate the refried beans. Simmer, then serve. Garnish as desired.
Try: sour cream, avocado, or green onions.

i made this soup last night and had to come on today to rate it. its great! we will definately be making this again. I added a can of rotells tomatoes with green chillies and diced up boneless chicken to it. I also added more broth for more servings. This soup needs no extra seasoning Thanks! - 2/20/09

This recipe was really easy. I used frozen corn. I ate 3 ladels full4lunch today&felt satisfied. It's got a great flavor&isn't overpowering. I was surprised it was refried beans that made the soup thicker. I put all the ingredients in a crock pot4over 6 hours and nothing got soggy. YAY! Thank you! - 6/21/08

I love how easy this recipe is to make. It's healthy, tasty, and low-calorie too!!! Great combo, plus, it's fast!!! I made it during a football game and shared it with my dad. He loved it and wants the recipe! I substituted garbanzo beans for the black beans, since that was what I had. Very good! - 11/13/10

My daughter loved this dish, she doesn't like tomatoes but was able to get pass that! I added chicken, lime juice, green onions and cilantro along with the chilli peppers that came with the crushed tomatoes! I will mos def make this again, except with fresh ingredients - sodium makes you bloat! - 1/13/10

Very good!! I did add Rotel instead of plain tomatoes. I also added 1tsp cumin and 1/2 tsp smoked paprika! It was GREAT!! Will make again for sure!! Also the leftovers are great for lunch. Also added a smidgen of low fat shredded cheese and a dollop of of low fat sour cream when i took it for lunch - 9/5/10

good grief! I will try this soup exactly as written - did anyone READ that she began losing weight after adding it to her daily diet? Yes, I agree....rotel tomatoes. Unless, I use the frozen tomatoes from our garden and also the fresh frozen corn we BOUGHT in summer and froze. Lov our Food Saver - 11/20/10

This soup was fast, easy & DELICIOUS! I love recipes that are "go to pantry" quick fixes. I used Rotel instead of plain diced tomatoes & didn't use all the chicken broth. I like my soups a little creamier. I also added some leftover goya yellow rice which was a great way to use up leftovers. YUMMO! - 7/20/10
