I was taught how to make these deliciously simple desserts while I was camping with my shooting sports club.
These are great anytime; breakfast, lunch, snacks, etc. Equipment Needed:

Ingredients

2 pieces sliced bread
2 Tbsp apple pie filling (or any pie filling)
1 Tbsp Butter (used salted butter in calculations)
Directions
Butter one side of each slice of bread (you may not need all the butter) and place the buttered side down onto the iron. Spoon 2 tablespoons of filling directly in the center of the bread. If you add too much, it'll end up spilling out and making your pie a mess. Close the iron and use a knife to cut off the excess bread. Hold over the open fire for about a minute and a half on each side. Keep an eye on it and adjust the cooking time as needed. Be careful as it'll be extremely hot.
