Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    1 1/2 cups sugar
    2/3 cups unsweetened applesauce
    2 cups whole wheat flour
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 pinch of salt
    1 tsp vanilla
    2 eggs
    4 tbsp milk
    2 cups mashed bananas (4 bananas)
    1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

Spray muffin tins and pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream applesauce and sugar together. Add egg, vanilla, and milk. Add dry ingredients into creamed mixture alternating with mashed bananas.

Bake muffins 20-25 minutes, loaf 1 hour, 8x8 pan 50-55 minutes 8 1/2x12 1/2 pan 35-40 minutes.

Makes 24 muffins.
