A moist meatloaf. A moist meatloaf.
Number of Servings: 12


    Venison, 1 lb.
    Gound Chuck, 1 lb.
    Onion, 1 Cup, diced
    Celery, 1 Cup, diced
    Bell Pepper, 1 Cup diced, any color will do
    Whole Wheat Bread Crumbs, 1 1/2 Cups
    Eggs, 2 whole or egg substitute
    Parmesan Cheese, 3 TBS, shredded
    Garlic Powder, 1 tsp or to taste
    Heinz 57 Sauce, 1 TBSP or to taste
    Salt and Pepper, to taste
    Ketchup, for the top of loaf


Mix all of the ingredients together except for the Ketchup. Form it into a loaf and place it in a lightly sprayed 8x8 inch pan. Pour Ketchup over the top. Place the meatloaf in a preheated 350 degree oven and bake for approximately 1 hour 15 minutes or until knife inserted in the center comes our clean. Pour off any grease that may accumulate in the bottom of the pan.
Makes approximately 12 servings.

  • You might also want to try half venison and half Canada Goose. Just use a food processor to chop goose breasts to the consistency of ground venison and a great use for goose. Tastes great! - 2/15/10

    The husband and kids ate it all up!!!
    I did not add celery but I added some finely chopped up mushrooms.
