Introduction

A moist meatloaf. A moist meatloaf.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    Venison, 1 lb.
    Gound Chuck, 1 lb.
    Onion, 1 Cup, diced
    Celery, 1 Cup, diced
    Bell Pepper, 1 Cup diced, any color will do
    Whole Wheat Bread Crumbs, 1 1/2 Cups
    Eggs, 2 whole or egg substitute
    Parmesan Cheese, 3 TBS, shredded
    Garlic Powder, 1 tsp or to taste
    Heinz 57 Sauce, 1 TBSP or to taste
    Salt and Pepper, to taste
    Ketchup, for the top of loaf


Directions

Mix all of the ingredients together except for the Ketchup. Form it into a loaf and place it in a lightly sprayed 8x8 inch pan. Pour Ketchup over the top. Place the meatloaf in a preheated 350 degree oven and bake for approximately 1 hour 15 minutes or until knife inserted in the center comes our clean. Pour off any grease that may accumulate in the bottom of the pan.
Makes approximately 12 servings.

    You might also want to try half venison and half Canada Goose. Just use a food processor to chop goose breasts to the consistency of ground venison and a great use for goose. Tastes great! - 2/15/10

    I did not add celery but I added some finely chopped up mushrooms.
