Introduction

I can't tolerate any kind of artifical sweetener, and the yogurt I was getting at the store was just way too high in calories and sugar, so I decided to mix up my own. This is lower in sugar and calories, and higher in protein, and can be made to suit your personal preferences. Ingredients

1/2 cup (113 grams) Mountain High All Natural Plain Yoghurt
32.5 grams (1/4 serving - approximately 6 cherries) Dark Pitted Sweet Cherries, defrosted
    1 Tsp Honey
1 Tablespoon Mock Sour Cream (blended fat free cottage cheese - see my other recipe)

Directions

Mix all ingredients in a bowl and blend with a stick (immersion) blender. Make other variations by trying other varieties of frozen fruit (make sure there is no sugar added to the fruit!)

You can make a thicker yogurt by first draining the yogurt in this manner: Place a piece of cheesecloth in a strainer, put the yogurt in it, and sit it over a bowl in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight. I do this in larger batches and keep in my fridge to use as a replacement for sour cream, cream cheese or lowfat mayo.
