Ingredients

14.5 oz can of Diced Tomatoes (seasoned with garlic and basil OR plain)
6 oz can of tomato paste
1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    1/2 cup white cooking wine
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 cup red onions
    2 cloves garlic
    1 tsp sugar
    1 tsp rosemary
    1 tsp basil
    1/2 tsp chili powder
    Pinch of thyme
    Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions

Sauté garlic and onions in olive oil. Slowly add diced tomatoes, tomato paste and stir. Add white wine. If marinara is too thick, slowly add water until desired thickness. Finally add sugar, rosemary, basil, chili powder, thyme, salt and pepper to taste. Let simmer for 20 minutes.

Please note: If you use a can of diced tomatoes seasoned with garlic and basil, omit the tsp. of basil and only add one clove of garlic.
