Introduction

"Up North", at least in wisconsin, we put noodles in our chili! I tried to make a healthier version of my favorite chili with ground turkey instead of beef, and added a little more spice. Try it, you will love it! "Up North", at least in wisconsin, we put noodles in our chili! Ingredients

One Pound Jennie-O Lean Ground Turkey
    1 cup chopped onion
    1 cup chopped celery
    1 cup chopped green pepper
one pound whole wheat elbow noodles
4 qt (128 oz) no salt added tomato juice
1 can chili beans (with juice)
1 can dark red kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
    3 tbsp chili powder
    3 jalapenos, diced
    3 cloves garlic, diced
    2 tbsp ground cumin

Directions

Brown turkey in frying pan with onion, celery, and garlic. Drain excess fat as needed. In the meantime, cook noodles according to package directions.

Combine meat mixture, noodles, and all other ingredients in a large kettle and simmer over medium heat 30-60 minutes, the longer you simmer the more the flavors will come out. Top with shredded cheese and sour cream as desired (not included in nutritional info). Enjoy! Makes about 16 servings.

    Very Good
Interesting ... I know they put chili on spaghetti in Cinncinnati but this was neat ... I am making it as I spark (soy noodles for me) and the preview tastes are AMAZING!
WAIT >>>> there's no CHEESE in a recipe from a Wisconsinite?????????????
